An accomplished Physical Therapist with more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Duro, as fondly referred to by clients, is the CEO and Chief Therapist at Elim Healthcare Services PT. PC.
Duro is licensed to practice in the State of New York. He completed his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at SUNY Stony Brook, New York in 2007. He launched his professional career in the field of Sports Physical Therapy after completing his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy at the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1979.
Duro’s extensive resume bears a clear testimony of his consistency and excellence in the profession to which he dedicated his entire working life. He was the former Sport Physical Therapist with the Super Eagles, Nigeria’s National Soccer Team. At a point in his career he became the Assistant Chief Physiotherapist at the University College Hospital of his Alma Mater.
In 1994, he relocated to the United States to work with the Goldwater Memorial Hospital (a long-term SNF and Hospital facility located in New York). He continued to work with Healthcare Agencies in New York, fine-tuning his skills, garnering top-notch expertise and building the essential networks that positioned him to launch his own private practice. Today, Elim Healthcare Services PT. PC. continues to grow and expand, providing the best physical therapy services to residents in the New York City area.
Duro is currently an active member of the Private Practice Section (PPS) of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). He enjoys giving back to the community and is the presiding Pastor at the Gospel Faith Mission International (Victory House) in Elmont, New York. He is fluent in Yoruba and has a basic knowledge of Spanish.
